PGRO/SYNGENTA PULSE ROADSHOWS 2018 TO TAKE PLACE BETWEEN 24 AND 31 JANUARY

“The Roadshows will continue our association with Syngenta to bring the latest research and agronomy advice to all involved with the crop,” explains Roger Vickers, PGRO Chief Executive. “they will take place between 24 and 31 January and travel through the major growing regions to offer the opportunity to learn more about pulse cropping and how to optimise them in your rotation..”   

Topics for the 2018 Roadshows are:

  • Market overview: Roger Vickers, PGRO.
  • The future of insect control and RNAi: Max Newbert, Syngenta UK Ltd.
  • 2017 season and trials review: Simon Jackson, Syngenta UK Ltd.
  • Aphanomyces and yield decline in peas: Brian O'Loinsigh, PhD Study, Nottingham University - sponsored by PGRO.
  • Bean row widths: Steve Belcher, PGRO.
  • The role of biostimulants - an overview: Jim Scrimshaw, PGRO.


All meetings are from 16:00 to 18:15 and will finish with a pie & pea meal.
